Testimonials from colleagues

Testimonial Bernhard

Coming from the Netherlands, I didn’t know much about the job market in Belgium. Fortunately, I came in contact with Engibex to help me with that.

After a few pleasant chats, Engibex offered me two different projects within the automotive industry which were exactly what I was looking for.
The project itself has been both challenging and rewarding.

Being able to develop vehicle dynamics control strategies for four-wheel drive vehicles, and testing these on tests tracks both abroad and in Belgium, is exactly what I hoped to be doing.

I appreciate that Engibex keeps in close contact with their consultants and offers team events frequently. Because of this, not only do I enjoy working on the project, but I also enjoy working for Engibex.

Leander Business Development Manager

I have been working for over a year with Engibex.
As you might know, the motto of Engibex is ‘Think as an Engineer, act as an entrepreneur’, something that really revealed itself this summer when I organised a pop-up bar/restaurant, called SPOOR.

Those three months were really exhaustive, but I got the full support from my colleagues and they were so kind to treat me with a surprise visit.
I’m still very thankful for this amazing experience.

I studied electronics and communication systems with a major in electronics at Ain Shams University in Cairo where I graduated in 1998 and where I also have been teaching for 6 years.
I moved to Belgium to complete my PhD and started working as an analogue designer on different projects. Leading a project with a team is something I love to do and also find passion while doing it.
I am pretty involved in STEM-related activities for children both on a company and personal level. Working with kids is very challenging, it requires a different skill set and a lot of patience.

I’m passionate about history and travelling a lot. Often I get into discussions with colleagues or friends about their native countries, trips they have made and/or cultural backgrounds because I want to learn and understand more about other places.

I’ve been practicing Korfball in Leuven for 2 years now and I also enjoy collecting stamps (a bit exotic, old school style) but it still amuses me to some extent.

This being said,
I am looking forward to my next step with Engibex from May 2019 onwards ?

Born in France, Aurore joined Engibex and is specialised in radiation problematics for the aerospace industry.

«What I really appreciate at Engibex is the human side of the company and the approachability of the management. When I was going through a difficult time in my life, I knew that I could count on the absolute understanding and unfailing support of Engibex. The multi-cultural nature of the company and the frequent meetings with people of other nationalities within the team are other elements that make for a fascinating work environment».

After finishing my studies Industrial Engineering Electromechanics in Leuven, I worked for 3 years at Argon Measuring Solutions as a measurement engineer. My job was to go on-site to perform dimensional quality control for various companies in the automotive, aerospace and other sectors using a 3D scanner. Two years I travelled around the world to perform these measurements, the last year however I spend most of my time at Audi Brussels working on the Etron project.

I would like to make a small career switch and get started in the energy sector, working on different projects to develop myself while contributing to finding solutions for the challenges this sector is facing.

I’m passionate about all energy-related matters, and I’m also into gaming and playing volleyball.

Once had to go to Mexico City once to create a 3D image of two Picasso’s and one Toulouse Lautrec, so Fujifilm could make a perfect copy of these paintings. The idea was that the owner (3th richest Mexican) could store these paintings in a safe and conditioned environment, while still enjoying the view of the copy in his apartment.

The scan only shows the profile of the brush strokes, which they then use in a hybrid printer to create the copy. Talk about a perfect replica!

Hosni

My background lies in electrical engineering and I have 5 years of experience in international companies. I had the opportunity to work on different projects in the automotive, electronics and energy sectors.

As I’m interested in the quality field, I am looking forward to succeeding new challenges with Engibex and to apply my soft and hard skills. I would also like to expand my friends and colleagues network perimeter by integrating into the Engibex family.

I am passionate about travelling. I started to travel with my family since I was a child and later on, I integrated the AJMEC association where I had the opportunity to mix between travelling and working in social topics as water saving, peace, etc.

It was while one of those trips during my participation at a social event in Riga when we found a plastic boat beside the river. I proposed to the team to make a tour before going to the party.
Unfortunately, the boat broke down after a short distance.
There was no other option than to swim until the river bank and to return to the hotel to change our wet clothes.
Since it was my suggestion, I was obliged to pay for what we spent during the party but it still was an amazing experience.

My name is Berta Santafé, born and raised in Pamplona (northern Spain) and I am proud to be longest-standing Engibex consultant ever

My Belgian experience started back in 2004 during my last year of my Masters degree in electromechanical engineering, when I came to Brussels as Erasmus student at the Royal Military Academy (RMA) in order to complete my thesis. When my internship came to an end, I continued working at the RMA for several years as research engineer in the numerical modelling of structural progressive collapse. During this time, I also had the opportunity to complete a PhD thesis, in the context of a RMA-ULB collaboration project.

In 2011, after spending 6 years working in research and academia, I decided to take a turn in my career and move towards the private sector. This is when I came across David de Brouwer.

My first mission was in an automotive company that designs and manufactures continuously variable transmissions, as well as electric motors for hybrid and electric vehicles. I was hired as part of the mechanical engineering team as a stress engineer. My main duties included finite element analyses of mechanical components and sub-assemblies, mostly for the hybrid and electric vehicle projects: switched reluctance motors and EV-HEV transmission housings.

My second mission started in 2014 in the energy-sector, where I currently work as a design engineer in the nuclear power division. My main assignment as part of the Mechanical and Piping Integrity Group consists on the design and analysis of mechanical structures and piping equipment for the Belgian nuclear power plants, in order to ensure their safe and proper operation during their programmed and/or extended lifetime. My work also includes, although to a lesser extent, nuclear facilities’ inspections, as well as corrective action implementation and follow-up.

The main motivation that led me to start working as a consultant – and to continue to do so after more all those years – is having the possibility to broaden both my theoretical and practical knowledge. The mid- to long-term character of the missions at Engibex makes it possible for my newly acquired competences to be usefully applied in various technological fields. It also allows me to continuously meet and learn from other experienced professionals, which I find particularly compelling.

Stefanie is Belgian and has been working at Engibex as an administration responsible since 2014.

«Engibex is a young, dynamic and innovative company. It has seen very rapid growth in a very short time and owes its success to the enormous integrity and commitment of management towards the staff. At Engibex, we are a million miles away from one of those companies that are run according to traditional mores with a strict hierarchy. For us, the most important thing is that our colleagues feel an integral part of the company and equal partners in the work. Regarding the services we offer our clients, our main priority is the extreme professionalism of the colleagues, their qualifications, their multi-culturality and the entrepreneurial spirit that make all the difference.»

My role within Engibex is to coordinate all marketing and communication activities such as social media, job fairs, team event, but also internal communication and content creation. I like to communicate straight-forward, transparent with a touch of humour. I am very happy Engibex allows me to develop my skills. Thriled to help Engibex grow. I hope we meet or talk soon!

After one year working at Engibex, I am really glad to be part of this team. Especially coming from abroad, it is great to know there is always someone willing to support, whenever you have any kind of administrative paperwork issue for housing, transport purposes. Everybody in the company is easily accessible and which creates a very friendly atmosphere.
