<- Bernhard Westerhof – Mechatronics Engineer:
Coming from the Netherlands, I didn’t know much about the job market in Belgium. Fortunately, I came in contact with Engibex to help me with that. After a few pleasant chats, Engibex offered me two different projects within the automotive industry which were exactly what I was looking for. The project itself has been both challenging and rewarding. Being able to develop vehicle dynamics control strategies for four-wheel drive vehicles, and testing these on tests tracks both abroad and in Belgium, is exactly what I hoped to be doing. I appreciate that Engibex keeps in close contact with their consultants and offers team events frequently. Because of this, not only do I enjoy working on the project, but I also enjoy working for Engibex.
Javier Gonzalez Carbajal
Mechanic Development Engineer ->
“After one year working at Engibex, I am really glad to be part of this team. Especially coming from abroad, it is great to know there is always someone willing to support, whenever you have any kind of administrative paperwork issue for housing, transport purposes. Everybody in the company is easily accessible and which creates a very friendly atmosphere.”
<- Leander Beuckels
Business Development Manager
I have been working for over a year with Engibex.
As you might know, the motto of Engibex is
‘Think as an Engineer, act as an entrepreneur’, something that really revealed itself this summer when I organised a pop-up bar/restaurant, called SPOOR. Those three months were really exhaustive, but I got the full support from my colleagues and they were so kind to threat me with a surprise visit.
I’m still very thankful for this amazing experience.
Mohamed El-Barkouky – Senior Project Leader ->
I studied electronics and communication systems with a major in electronics at Ain Shams University in Cairo where I graduated in 1998 and where I also have been teaching for 6 years.
I moved to Belgium to complete my PhD and started working as an analogue designer on different projects. Leading a project with a team is something I love to do and also find passion while doing it.
I am pretty involved in STEM-related activities for children both on a company and personal level. Working with kids is very challenging, it requires a different skill set and a lot of patience.
I’m passionate about history and travelling a lot. Often I get into discussions with colleagues or friends about their native countries, trips they have made and/or cultural backgrounds because I want to learn and understand more about other places.
I’ve been practicing Korfball in Leuven for 2 years now and I also enjoy collecting stamps (a bit exotic, old school style) but it still amuses me to some extent.
This being said,
I am looking forward to my next step with Engibex from May 2019 onwards 🙂
