Controls Application Development Engineer

Our client  is an international compagny with over 2,100 employees, spread across four locations in Mexico, the USA and Belgium.

At our office near Bruges, our more than 200 engineers and colleagues work on the development, testing, prototyping and production of high-technology transmission systems and subsystems for high-performance top-of-the-line vehicles !

Our role

The application software development team develops, maintains & calibrates the models which control the features & functions of the complete Dual Clutch Transmission. As Application Development Engineer, you are responsible for the development and optimization of the models which determine the control strategies. This involves analyzing the mechanical & hydraulic system of a DCT in relation to the customers feature requirements. After an initial period, you will get the responsibility over one or more modules within the application software. You integrate and test algorithms on a test bench, in the vehicle or by vehicle simulation.

Our profile

  • Master degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics or Electromechanical engineering.
  • You have experience with Model-Based Design in Matlab Simulink or similar in relation to control technology.
  • Software-minded and strong in analytic thinking.
  • Strong interest in mechatronics.
  • A strong interest in automotive is seen as a plus.
  • Experience with Automotive test tooling (Canape, CANoe, …) is seen as an asset.
  • Analytic thinker & problem solver.
  • Creative mind.
  • Able to work independent as well as being a team player.
  • You are open to international travel when needed

    Senior E-Powertrain Engineer

    With background in Mechanical Engineering, I have been in the research and early-stage development of powertrains for more than 11 years. I worked on the controls for engines,after-treatment systems, and hybrid powertrain in early part of my career. I have been with Engibex since 2016, where I have worked with two clients for simulation-based development of electrified powertrains. Currently, I am responsible for an internal project for an OEM client for the development of electrification strategy, where we have brought together a team of experts to solve this interesting problem. What I really like about Engibex is the flexibility available to chart our own path and the support of the excellent internal team
    which helps along the way.

    Farzaneh Bahrami

    Research Engineer

    With Research background for the past 5 years on advanced materials (2D Materials and thin films), Micro and nanofabrication in cleanroom, mechanical and electromechanical characterizations I now got the opportunity to join Engibex and to apply my extensive knowledge into challenging projects. I’m working on improving material characteristics by the use of new processing methods and to make products more efficient and applicable in sustainable and energy storage industries. Working with Engibex will allow me to put those
    personal interests into concrete professional goals.
