As a designer in the Combine or Hay & Forage teams, you will work on specific functionalities of the vehicles such as: grain handling, threshing, hydraulic routing, cleaning & harvesting systems.
Responsibilities
- Work in an agile and multidisciplinary environment within product engineering teams of combines, forage harvesters or balers
- Guarantee close cooperation and support towards the cross functional teams including design analysis, product validation (field test, lab and prototype shop), value analysis, manufacturing, purchasing and suppliers
- Carry out design work on both new developments and current product improvements for performance, durability and cost
- Be the owner of different subtasks within projects and be responsible for the correct execution, follow up and delivery of those tasks, according to project targets
- Active participation in design reviews, FMEA’s, manufacturing reviews
Profile
- Bachelor or Masters Degree in Engineering or equal through experience
- Good knowledge of Laview is required
- Good knowledge of basic physics and willing to learn
- Fluent in English and Dutch language (written and spoken)
- CAD 3D user (Team Center, VisMockup and Creo preferred)
- Technical drawing specifications: ability to apply dimensioning, GD&T, part inspection, gaging, drawing notes, mfg control measures
- Knowledge on materials and manufacturing technologies as machining and welding
- Knowledge of basic Finite Elements Analysis and being able to apply them on designs
